East Street Arts

East Street Arts is an arts charity based in Leeds and established by two artists with a vision to support the visual arts sector and its artists. 30 years on, we still strongly believe that artists will affect positive change in the places we call home, and our work supports them to do so.

Our work is expansive and supports artists across many areas of work, including: providing affordable space for artists through temporary and permanent studios; delivering bespoke artist development for individuals, artist-led spaces and the wider sector through shared learning and research; curating an annual public programme that engages our local communities; and running the UK’s first Art Hostel, a unique accommodation in the heart of Leeds designed entirely by artists.
